Fall Family Photos at Highbanks | Hetterscheidt Family

One of the most important aspects of any family photo session is play.

Especially if I've never met your family before, after I introduce myself to your kids and share about taking photos, I'll initiate games to play. This looks different for each family and for each kids' age and personality - so sometimes that's encouraging the siblings to be silly together, to go explore a little, or to play red light green light. No matter what it is, the goal is the same - get your kids smiling and comfortable!

Each family is unique, and having the freedom to laugh and not take things so seriously makes a big difference for your photos. I loved that their oldest son was having so much fun playing in the creek! I just encouraged that and let the family play and explore together - and that allowed us to get plenty of sweet candid photos of their family enjoying time together and being themselves.

I enjoyed this session so much. I went to HS and swam with Katie, and it was so very sweet to see her and her husband as parents!
