Arwin contacted me just before Thanksgiving to plan his proposal to his then girlfriend for February! I was very impressed by his thoughtful planning all the way through. He planned a day full of fun & surprises for her, and first up on the list was a walk at Quarry Metro with friends and their dogs. I loved getting to be a part of the planning process for all the details leading to the actual proposal.
We got to talk through and dream up his vision for what this proposal would look like. Then, about two weeks out from the proposal date at about the same time of day he was planning to propose, we met up to literally walk through the plan. We walked the same trail he and Joanna planned to and mapped out where he would get on one knee, and where I'd take photos from!
My friend Jordan of Hey Babe Creative arrived with me on the big day to get ready to take video for them. We got all set up with our Hot Hands warmers for our gloves and shoes (the BEST invention ever!! I stayed warm the whole time!) and then made the trek over to our designated shooting spot. He decided to hide *almost* in the creek to get the perfect viewpoint of them up close, and I stayed in the area of the bridge.

I'd never met Joanna before, so I was able to hide in plain sight and walked right past her and Arwin on their way to the waterfall. Leading up to that moment, I may have been just as nervous and excited as Arwin! (Okay surely not, but I was feeling all the nerves and joy!!)
It was so beautiful to witness the proposal happen, capture it, and celebrate with them after! And as a surprise, Arwin arranged for soooo many members of both of their families to be present and join us for photos after she said yes!
