Kim's Dreamy Maternity Session at Inniswoods

The summer felt slow to start this year, but we had the best day for this maternity session in Westerville! I loved exploring a sun filled corner of the park with Kim, Jake, and their sweet girl.


And what made this session even sweeter is the fact that this gorgeous mama is my friend from college! Back then, I knew Kim as this incredibly smart, fiercely disciplined nursing student who didn't know a stranger. She always looked stunning, was incredibly selfless and kind, and always ready to dance! Being around her for this session was precious to me because I clearly saw that same energy and joy that makes Kim who she is translated so effortlessly into her role as mom.

If you are looking for a maternity photographer in the Columbus, Ohio area, you might be wondering how a session feels, and when you should book your photos. Between 28-32 weeks is my typical timeframe, but that can be adjusted if necessary!


Or maybe you're an expecting mother who wonders if you're even up for photos when you feel so exhausted and probably pretty uncomfortable! And honestly, I totally understand how you feel, I've been there. Stepping in front of the camera is hard, and being at the end of pregnancy doesn't necessarily make it feel easier. But here's the best thing about maternity photos - you know what it will feel like to look back on these photos with your children in 5, 10, or 20 years from now? Your children will see the radiant, incredible woman who carried them before they ever met. They will see the love and joyful anticipation that was waiting for them! Bringing life into this world is one of the best privileges, and I love having the chance to document and celebrate that with my expecting moms!


What a gift to have these photos to look back on with your kids and show them a glimpse of what life was like before they entered your world, and how you just couldn't wait for them to come!
